Corporal Curtis J Deroche USMC

Corporal Deroche was a member of the Anti-Tank Company, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Provisional Marine Brigade that Disembarked On August 2nd 1950 at Pusan Korea. The Brigade was part of the Pusan Perimeter Defense He and his unit were later to be intergrated into the 1st Marine Division prior to the September 15th Landing at Inchon and Seoul actions. Following up with the Landing at Wonson,Korea and the advance to the Chosin Reservoir.

He was a Chosin Few Marine trapped in the Chosin Reservoir. He passed away on August 12, 2012 at the age of 83. We are forever proud of him because he lived his life til the end as a true Marine – forever faithful. His name is Curtis J. Deroche from Gramercy, Louisiana. He was truly very proud to be a Marine.
